Most photographers will do anything to get a shot. From laying in the mud, to getting up to our necks in cold water, we do what it takes. After many photo sessions have come to conclusion I quickly found myself quite uncomfortable. Blame it on getting in “The Zone” I guess. I’ve been aware of my fingers not being very functional because they are so numb, and not until I’ve gotten back in the car was I aware that the 10 degree ambient temperature had made the rest of my kinda cold as well.
My wife doesn’t typically pick up the camera. This is a fact I sorely wish I could change. You see, SHE is the creative one. Don’t believe me? Check out the timeline covers she’s designed: Lisa Timeline Covers
As well as her wall art: Lisa Wall Art
There’s been a few times she’s picked up the camera out of sheer necessity. The above photo is one such time. Usually when she succumbs to the need, great things are produced. See some examples below:
This particular time was pretty necessary as well. One of our most favoritest models in the world, Makahlynn, is also one of the sassiest, and on this day she wasn’t having any of it. At some point during the shoot I threw in the photographic towel, tossed Lisa the camera, and started a snowball fight with my little friend. This ensued for about twenty minutes or so, at some later point I found myself climbing a tree like a monkey in an attempt to amuse her. Unfortunately, Lisa found the above shot more compelling than anything pretty young Makahlynn was doing. I’m very seldom the subject of any photographs, so I thought I’d share this “special” one with you.
We did get some pretty good shots after all. Miss Sassy Pants didn’t really want to cooperate, but I wouldn’t take her any other way, cuz that’s what makes her so fun. The first time we shot her, she did nothing but run for two straight hours, but it was one of the defining moments of my career, and images from that shoot will probably be in my portfolio for the rest of my life. You can see that shoot here: Makahlynn's First Shoot. Her Second shoot was even more awesome, and is included in the above link.

Sorry for all the links in this post, thanks to Misty for sharing your beautiful daughter with us.
Have a great night everyone!
