Monkey on a Bench

My daughter Maia on a bench

I know, I know, it’s been a couple days. Sorry for leaving you, my three readers hanging like that. Been kinda busy around here. Hey, it takes a lot of time to keep my hair looking this good.

So, hope this post finds you guys doing well, if not, that’s life, suck it up and move on! Sorry, just kidding. It is Monday though, so it did suck a little bit I guess.

So here is a picture of my daughter Maia, who I affectionately refer to as “Monkey” for as long as I can remember. I also call her "Monkey Brains" and "Monkey Butt" on occasion. You have to admit, she does kinda resemble a little monkey sitting there like that. I can just about see her tail sticking through the slats of that bench.

Speaking of the Monkey. We just got done with dinner, which means we were all together for a few minutes. As we’re heading back upstairs, I say out loud, “back to my blogging. Wish I knew what write about.” To which Maia responds, “you should write about me!” Well, I already was. I was speaking more in general terms, as in an everyday basis.

Maia wanted to know what I was writing about. I told her if she wanted to know she’d have to read my blog. She asked if it was on facebook. I said , “no”. She asked how she was supposed to read it then.  Man, these kids can’t do anything without facebook.  I’m still waiting for someone to post photos from the delivery room as they welcome their new child into the world (just kidding, please don’t!).

Speaking of monkeys yet again. Lisa just stepped out into my little man hall (I don’t have a cave, just a loft big enough for my desk) to show me a piece of scrapbook paper. Guess what’s on the piece of paper? You guessed it, monkeys!

So Monkey Brains, I guess tonight was all about you. Thanks for always being willing to step in front of my camera when I’m testing out whatever new piece of gear I might have, or for being willing to do actual photo shoots here and there. Your photos may sit in my computer far longer than any of my paying clients, but so do your brothers’ and sister’s. I do enjoy editing your photos when I finally get around to them. Love ya lots!
