Right about now you’re probably asking yourself, “what the heck am I looking at?” Have you ever heard stories about the mean Mexican mom or grandma that could move across the room and smack you before you even had time to blink? Well, here’s photographic proof this speed exists in mothers who are in attack mode.
The young man in the picture is my son, Cody. The blur you see isn’t a ghost, but my wife, and she’s moving so fast my camera could barely catch her form as she flew across the beach to smack Cody. Luckily, I caught her just as she started to move, otherwise she wouldn’t even be visible in this photo. If you look closely, she’s already got a shoe in her hand.
All my life I thought this was a skill possessed only by mothers of Hispanic descent. Perhaps these were skills gained by wife when she married me and took on Jimenez as her last name?
As to why she smacked him, you’ll have to ask the two of them. According to Cody, his mother only beats him on holidays. We WERE on a family holiday, so who’s to say.
